Go Mobile!
In celebration of the first episode of Star Trek this week, Google is leveraging the futuristic Trekkie communication tool, the Communicator, to push its own mobile brand. This week is Go Mobile week at Google, starting with an overview of its past mobile conquests on The Official Google Blog, and morphing into blog posts and tweets doling out tips and mobile tricks, and a great little question and answer session that will play out on the Google Mobile Blog.
If you’re curious about mobile tech and Google’s mobile brand in particular, the company has set up an app where you can ask a mobile-related question. Other viewers can vote on whether they want your question answered or not until Tuesday at 11:59 PM, after which Google will answer some of the most popular questions on its blog. The question app isn’t immune to spammers though. The very first question posted follows: “Do you like pork chops?” Amazingly, two other people have already voted to bump this question to ‘please answer’!
I’m pretty interested in what Google has planned in the augmented reality category. If you’re also interested, please vote to have my question answered!
